The place of current Palace Motesickych held the famous pressburg inn "U divého muža". It was probably the most luxurious inn of Bratislava having been situated inside of the bastioned fortification for all centuries long.
The most important visitors of the capital stayed in the building during the royal coronations and councils. Later on, Samuel Mikovíny, a renowened mathematician and cartographer and a creator of meridian for Bratislava, which passes through the northeast tower of Bratislava Castle, stayed in here. He was the one, who laid a foundation for the first topographical maps depicting individual counties of the Kingdon of Hungary.
In 1840, Motesicky - the baron family had the palacebuilt. It was refurbished into neoclassical style at it has remained sof far. Motesicky - the aristocratic family famous of its barons, was an old Slavish aristocratic dynasty whose origin dates back to 13th the century.
The high ranking peers were gathering in the Palace men horsing club
and the casiono of barons. The aristocracy stayed in it during the chamber negotiation, judical proceedings and crowning of Ugrian sovereigns.
In 2010, after the entire reconstruction, the Palace revived.
